Please note you will be required to agree these when securing your booking.
  • Your booking is with Abuela Play Cafe.
  • Your contract is with us and not with WooCommerce/Dojo-Paymentsense who provide the booking technology.
  • By using the Service you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions of use.
  • You need to have the legal capacity to make a booking.
  • You must provide true and accurate information.
  • You are entering into a contract with us which means that you have to pay for all child entries prior to entry and the meal once you have eaten it, unless you have made any full or partial prepay arrangements (which will be deducted).
  • The contract becomes legally binding on us only when you have received the confirmation email.
  • You can cancel your booking via the link in your booking confirmation email - 24hrs prior to the booking date and time, free of charge.
  • If you don’t turn up at the cafe at or near after the specified time, we reserve the right to retain your entry fee, and your ticket will be non-refundable.
  • We reserve the right to cancel your booking if we are unable to provide the service to you or the cafe takes a private hire booking. Any deposits will be refunded.

  • If you turn up late, we reserve the right to give away your entry slot, although we will always endeavour to accommodate you at a later time if possible.

Allergies and intolerances
  • Please note that you MUST notify your server at the coffee shop, in person, before you place your food/drinks order of any allergy or intolerance issues that you may have.
  • For the avoidance of doubt any information passed by you to us through this service, by email, by telephone or by any other means, does not constitute receipt of such information by ourselves.
Refund Policy
  • Tickets are non-refundable. However, should you wish to change a booked session, you can do so via your confirmation email, or by emailing us 24 hours before your session is due to start.
  • Absolutely no outside food or drinks are allowed with exception of milk for babies, as we are a food establishment and other guests may have allergies.
  • Saturday and Sunday bookings maybe cancelled due to private party bookings.
Privacy
  • You will receive emails from us relating to confirmation of your booking.
  • If you have opted in to get marketing information from us, we may send you emails about offers and services.
  • You may opt out of these at any time.
  • For the purposes of GDPR regulations, we are the “Data Controller” and WooCommerce/Dojo-Paymentsense is the “Data processor”.
Rights and jurisdiction
  • We reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time.
  • The onus is on you to check the current terms and conditions
  • This contract is governed by the Law of England.
Liability
  • Our booking technology partners, WooCommerce/Dojo-Paymentsense strive for the highest levels of security, however, neither we nor our booking technology partners accept any liability for loss, damages or costs associated with the use of this service, including viruses, data loss or consequential loss.
  • We try and keep our data up to date but we accept no responsibility for any damage or consequential loss arising from inaccurate data or your reliance upon it.

1. Booking & Payment
  • A deposit is required to secure your booking. This will go towards the final price for the booking.
  • The remaining balance is due on the day of the event.
  • If payment is not received on time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
2. Cancellation Policy
  • A minimum of 60 days’ notice is required to cancel your booking for the deposit to be refundable.
  • Deposits may be transferred to a new date if requested at least 30 days before the party.
  • Cancellations made with less than 30 days of the party are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Changes to guest numbers or food orders must be confirmed at least 7 days before the event.
3. Arrival & Timing
  • You may arrive 15 minutes before your party start time to set up. Earlier access is not permitted, as cleaning and preparation will be taking place.
  • After your party ends, you have a 10-minute grace period to gather belongings and prepare children to leave.
  • After this grace period, a £75 charge per additional half hour will apply. This helps cover staff costs and ensures we can prepare for the next booking on time.
4. Capacity & Guest Numbers
  • Exclusive Hire capacity: up to 15 children and 24 adults.
  • Non-Exclusive Hire capacity: up to 6 children and 7 adults.
  • Dry Hire capacity: up to 15 children and 24 adults.
  • Large Group Bookings: Up to 10 children and up to 12 adults.
  • Additional guests (when permitted): please contact us to find out more.
  • Children are counted as those playing and eating as part of the package. Older children are counted as adults.
5. Use of Play Area
  • The play area is primarily designed for children under 5 years old.
  • Older siblings may use the play area if:
    • They play gently with younger children.
    • They are supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
    • The maximum of capacity children in the play area is not exceeded.
6. Food & Catering
  • Due to Food Safety Measures, outside food and drinks are not permitted, except for a birthday cake.
  • We provide children’s buffets, sharing platters, and menu options as part of our packages.
  • Please inform us of allergies or dietary requirements at least 7 days in advance. While we do our best to cater for these, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
7. Decorations & Setup
  • Decorations included in your package are provided by us.
  • For Dry Hire, you may bring your own decorations. Restrictions apply:
    • No wall fixings, confetti, glitter, or party poppers.
    • Only birthday cake candles are permitted.
    • Balloons must be secured; loose balloons are not allowed in the play area.
8. Supervision & Behaviour
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
  • Abuela Play Café staff do not hold childcare responsibilities at any point.
  • Unsafe, disruptive, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Staff reserve the right to ask guests to leave if necessary.
  • Our regular rules of play always apply during parties.
9. Damages & Cleaning
  • Any damage to the play area or facilities, or excessive cleaning required due to misuse, will result in an additional charge.
  • Charges will be calculated fairly and proportionately to cover repair or replacement costs.
